Valerie Forde-Galvin
Valerie Forde-Galvin is a Yoga teacher and therapist with a Master’s degree in psychotherapy and certifications in Integrative Yoga Therapy and Creative Stress Transformation. Valerie has traveled to sacred sites in the Americas, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East. A mother of eight, Valerie began studying Yoga in 1972 for self healing. After nine years of preparation, she began teaching Yoga and continues to offer classes and workshops throughout southern New Hampshire.
Her work is a blend of Yoga, Feldenkrais, QiGong, and meditation, viewing each individual as a body-mind-spirit entity evolving toward greater wholeness. The focus of her teaching is living consciously and opening to inner wisdom.
Valerie had produced two Yoga audio-cassettes and a booklet on Yoga Breathing under her former name Valerie Butler. In 1996 she formed a company called Yoga Tours offering Yoga/meditation retreats in Mexico and Costa Rica. Many students have enjoyed her winter retreats in Isla Mujeres.
Valerie now offers an instructional DVD called Journey toward Awakening. This new video features Yoga postures with guided relaxation, a QiGong sequence, and meditation. For more details on this current DVD and other offerings, visit the Shop page.
